Beautiful Pieces Created by Tulusa

Sue Henry is the owner and creative director of Tulusa, a textile studio in the Del Ray neighborhood of Alexandria, Virginia. She moved to the city almost 20 years ago, starting off as a sculptor in California and then moving to Colorado where her work became geared to home life and functionality.

Founder Sue Henry

Sue started carving blocks, printing, embroidering, and selling her home goods at pop-up shops. Tulusa now has its own online store (and hosts seasonal pop-ups at the studio) and sells its line at boutiques locally and across the country.

Tulusa's handmade, block-printed housewares bring joy to treasured spaces and help make homes an inspired place to be. They design and carve blocks and then cut, hem, and finish their pieces to order. Tulusa sells table top linens, face masks, and printing blocks on their website.

They care deeply about the finished product and about keeping all that they can in-house. You may find variations from piece to piece. That is part of the beauty of what they do and they hope that you love it as much as they do.
