Rachel Mastandrea is the owner of Fetching Goodies, a small, woman-owned, and operated bakery in Alexandria, Virginia. They create classic yet innovative baked goods such as cookies, quick-breads, muffins, and, cookie bars. Fetching Goodies offers a variety of cookie bars such as chocolate chip, red velvet, brownies, blondies, pumpkin, apple pie, and more.
Rachel is currently running her business by herself. She creates all baked goods recipes and bakes the goodies in small batches, preparing and packaging them by hand. Rachel also strives to create allergen-friendly options such as dairy-free and vegan.
Rachel has baked ever since she was a child, as this was a hobby that gave her joy that a thoughtful treat can create. Starting a bakery has been a dream of hers for several years. Rachel had been baking orders for her family, friends, and colleagues for the past eight years. In 2012, she even started her own food blog to share recipes and treats for her audience to make at home.
In 2019, Rachel officially launched her business under the Virginia Cottage Food Law, allowing her to bake for customers out of her home kitchen. This was especially important to Rachel because of this allows her to ensure everything is made with extra care, in small-batches, and truly homemade with love and purpose in every bite.
Rachel is permitted to sell her baked goods from her home kitchen as well as Farmers' Markets. She sells to anyone that is able to pick up goods from Alexandria, Virginia. Rachel has a selection of goodies selection of goodies available each week, with limited quantities available.
