Bath Bombs from Lani Boo Bath

Jelani Jones started her business, Lani Boo Bath, at only nine years old. She thought of this idea from a love of being creative and making bath products. Jelani learned how to make bath bombs (a tightly packed ball that fizzes and lets out scents and oils when put in water) in school. Jelani purchased the ingredients needed to create the bath bombs and quickly sold her products to friends, family, and church members.

After years of visiting her local farmer’s market and testing out products, one of the vendors became her mentor. From her guidance and the support of family and friends, Jelani was able to officially launch Lani Boo Bath on a national level in October 2016. Soon, Jelani gained enormous support locally and around the world. She now inspires other young people by selling her products at local tradeshows and interacting with her amazing supporters.

Today, Jelani’s website features 11 brightly colored bath bombs in different scents, as well as two handcrafted soap options. Her products, which start at $4.50, have received five-star reviews on Facebook.

Jelani has been able to balancing school and running a business. She is a straight-A student who is very dedicated to Lani Boo Bath, making her own products and creating a business plan, along with budgeting her time and money. Her parents, Crystal and Marcel Jones, help Jelani with taking and filling orders and sending invoices.
